It’s that time of year. Time for some of our local students to display their spelling acumen at the South Shore Regional Spelling Bee, presented by Comcast. The Champion of the South Shore Regional Spelling Bee will go on to represent Comcast, the South Shore, her school, town and family at the Scripps National Spelling Bee in May 2010.
When: Saturday, March 13, 2010; 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Where: Holiday Inn, Rockland, MA

Hi Lisa,
Not much experience with Spelling Bees except one when I was in 5th grade and lost. Why? The word given to me was Maine and I was penalized for spelling it mane which was incorrect and unfair since the person giving the word never specified. Of course, I never asked her for clarification. Came in second and still remember it many years later.
