We will take a break from our regular programming, for a quick, positive customer care story:
Recently I met with a fellow South Shore Chamber of Commerce Ambassador at the Panera Bread in North Quincy. We had a most enjoyable meeting, but I digress.
At some point during my visit to Panera, I dropped, or somehow misplaced, an important document. A document that would be difficult – and a bit uncomfortable – to replace. To add to this unfortunate incident, I did not know that I had lost the document. Not until I needed it two days later. I did not panic, however, as I thought I had misfiled it and scheduled myself to look for it ‘later’ – you know, when I REALLY needed it.
The morning of the day that I was to REALLY need the document, I made my daily treck to the post office. I opened up my box and discovered a handwritten envelope. The fact that it was handwritten made me smile as I am one of those people for whom the handwritten envelope works. Again, I digress. The return on the envelope was ‘Lost and Found’ Panera Bread, North Quincy, MA. I am certain you have guessed what I found inside.
That truly is an example of good customer care. And a company, or at least an employee, who gets it.
